Extended Day Options
We offer a wide variety of after-school enrichment classes at SnoSprings School. They give our students an opportunity to participate in activities without having to travel to another location. These offerings change from year to year based on student interest. Registration for the extended day program is offered 3 times per school year. A flyer will be sent home with your student that shows what classes will be offered that session, and directions about how to sign up will be provided.

Creative Crafts
Creative Crafts is a fun and festive after-school class where students create themed projects inspired by seasons and holidays. Each week features a new hands-on craft that encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and artistic expression.
Origami
There’s nothing quite like the joy you get from transforming a plain square piece of paper into a container, animal, flower and beyond. Origami is the art of folding paper into beautiful creations. Origami is a fun, challenging and creative activity for all to enjoy. We will learn different techniques of folding to develop fun and interesting projects! Come and experience the art of creation!
Music Makers
This club introduces kids to the exciting world of music through hands-on instrument making with craft materials, learning about famous composers and the historical context they lived in, and exploring a variety of musical genres. Through creative projects and listening activities, children develop an appreciation for music, internalizing the fundamentals of rhythm and pitch, while discovering different sounds and rhythms from cultures around the world. This engaging and interactive club nurtures curiosity and creativity, making music a fun and enriching experience for all!
All About Chess
All About Chess is a fun way to learn the game of chess, which has been shown to help with math, critical thinking, patience, and many more important skills. Each week the class is broken up between a focused lesson, practice games against their peers working on what they have been learning, fun variant chess games, puzzles, checkmate patterns and in more advanced classes a simulated tournament. Sportsmanship and thinking about our actions before we do them are a few of the themes presented throughout the session.
Yoga
Basic Yoga postures will be introduced to practice coordination and balance along with encouraging self-expression and teaching students to self-manage their emotions through various forms of breathing exercises. Students will engage in many themed movements including animals, superheroes, and things in nature.
Mad Science
Join us for explosive fun in Mad Science Minis – where little scientists make BIG discoveries! Every week we’ll mix, fizz, pop, and explore through hands-on experiments that make science feel like magic. From rainbow towers to dancing raisins, balloon rockets to color-changing slime – we’re turning curiosity into “WOW!” moments.
Cartoon Drawing
Cartoon drawing for kids is a fun and creative activity that allows young artists to express themselves. Creating different cartoon characters involves a blend of creativity and an understanding of character design. Cartoon drawing will help improve fundamental drawing skills while developing your child’s imaginations. We will freely experiment with different strategies, subjects, and styles, fostering creativity and imaginative thinking.
LEGO Adventures
LEGO Adventures invites kids to explore, build, and create together through hands-on challenges and imaginative play. Each session encourages creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork as students design and construct their own LEGO worlds. It’s a fun, cooperative space where curiosity and collaboration lead to endless building possibilities!
Food Science
Cooking with children can be a fun way to learn about science, math, and other subjects. Even simple recipes can help children learn about concepts like chemical changes, fractions, measurements, and shapes. With food science projects and experiments, students measure, mix, cook, bake, and investigate the importance of specific ingredients, the science of mixtures and solutions, and the chemical reactions that may occur when ingredients are combined, heated, shaken, or frozen.
Spanish Amigos
In Spanish Amigos, students explore the Spanish language through play, songs, crafts, dance and engaging stories. Each session offers hands-on activities that make learning vocabulary and phrases fun and memorable. Together, students practice speaking Spanish, spark their creativity, and build a love for language in a playful, interactive environment.
Rhythm & Beat
Get ready to explore the world of music in Rhythm and Beat! This joyful after-school program invites children to discover the magic of rhythm through hands-on musical play, creative movement, and group activities. Kids will explore instruments, learn fun beats, and build coordination, confidence, and creativity.
Code Breakers
Code Breakers Club teaches kids to think like a computer—without ever touching one! Through fun games, puzzles, and challenges, students explore coding concepts like sequencing, loops, and problem-solving using only their brains and hands. It’s a playful way to build critical thinking and computational skills while having a blast!
Intro to Scratch
Welcome to the exciting world of coding with our Intro to Scratch class for kids! In this engaging introduction, students will embark on a creative journey to discover the fundamentals of coding through playful activities and interactive stories. We will guide them in using Scratch, a user-friendly programming language, fostering a love for problem-solving and computational thinking in a fun and supportive environment.
